Planning Your Summer Bash:2017

HELLO CRAFTERS!!!!! I am SO, SO, SO excited for today’s post!! I am going to share the ideas I have for my Summer Bash with you so that you girls can¬†plan your own!!!! Now, onto the party:

First things first:

First, make sure that you make a guest list and send out invitations ASAP, literally!!! ūüôā These days, people tend to fill their summers up to the max (no joke) so, if you want to have a lot of friends over, try and get the invites out early!!

To save space, I am going to attach Word Docs instead of typing all of this up for you. Feel free to print out the schedule or any of the other Docs you may want!!

“The Wrap” Bracelet

“The Wrap” Bracelet

Hello, Crafters!! Today I am here to share, what I call, “The Wrap” Bracelet. This bracelet is super simple and fast to make, it took me less than 15 minutes. We hope you enjoy!! Here is what your finished bracelet will look like:

Let’s get started!!

You will need the following:

DSC00577

  • Thick yarn
  • Embroidery floss
  • Scissors

Instructions:

(P.S. I will put the instruction in word form first, and then the picture of that step right underneath)

1. Wrap a strand of yarn around your wrist once, then double it.

DSC00578

2. Take your embroidery floss and start twisting it around your yarn, about a fingernail’s length from the loop.

DSC00579

3. Continue wrapping…

4. a. If you want a looser bracelet, stop wrapping when the end of your floss touches the edge of the loop, when wrapped around your wrist.

b. If you want a tighter bracelet, stop wrapping when the end of your floss touches the floss where you started wrapping, when wrapped around your wrist.

DSC00585

5. Cut your embroidery floss to the same length as the end of the yarn.

DSC00586

6. Tie a knot at the very end of where you stopped wrapping, so that your wrapping doesn’t come undone.

DSC00587

7. I prefer to keep the end of the yarn attached to the bracelet, but if you want to cut it off, you can do so now. When you want to wear your bracelet, slide the knot through your hole on the top of the bracelet.

DSC00588

You are now finished!!! I’m sure you can now see why I call it “The Wrap” Bracelet, since you are basically just wrapping embroidery floss around your yarn! We hope you enjoyed!

Hello Fellow Crafters!!! I am so, so, so sorry that we have not posted anything on here for over two whole months!! I think we have all been crazy busy with school, and doing our very best to finish strong!!! But, in between that amount of time, I have been planning new ideas for challenges, and videos for our YouTube Channel when I have had the chance!! I am¬†SO excited,¬†and I hope y’all are too!!

To start off, I would like to let you know that I am going to get together with some Forever Friends and make a¬†‘Would You Rather’ video to jump-start summer, so look for that!! I am hoping to have it up by the end of June at the very latest.

Next, I am talking with my parents about finding a date to host my annual Summer Bash, I have had one for the past 3-4 years or so, and I am really excited about this years because I am hoping to have almost everyone from Zoe & Friends Forever there!!!!! In June, or early July, I will make a blog post with my ideas, so that you can host your very own!! I will also post pictures in another post of our Summer Bash!! So exciting!!

Next, I am going to start posting Polls hopefully every Monday, so make sure you check those out. This way, if I am not able to post anything, you guys don’t have to go two months without hearing from us again!!

Lastly, thank-you so much for being patient with us, we are so sorry again for not posting anything, that will all change very soon!!!

Minute To Win It: Spring Edition

Minute To Win It: Spring Edition

Hello Fellow Crafters!!! Today, Ayris (my Sister) and I are here to show you our Spring Edition of Minute to Win it. We hope you enjoy!!!

Before we get started, I would encourage you to visit our About page, as I am going to update that after I publish this post!!!

So, it is kind of hard to tell who the winner is, I gave Ayris two minutes because she is 5, and she got all the eggs put together in 1 minute 30ish seconds. And I set the timer for me at 1 minute and put all the eggs together except the last two didn’t match, they were different colors. So…. On with the challenge:

As always: We will give you a list of supplies and directions for the challenge so you can try it out at home!! Have fun!!!

Supplies Needed:

  • Plastic Eggs
  • Timer

Directions:

  1. Mix up your eggs so that instead of an egg being all one color, the egg has two colors.

2. Set the timer for 1 minute (or longer, depending on your age range) and try to get all the eggs back to one color or pattern.

Here is Ayris:

And me:

We both had a blast trying to do this challenge!! We hope you like it too!! Please comment below and tell us what you think!!! Until next time:

The Ultimate Photo Shoot~Rebecca

The Ultimate Photo Shoot~Rebecca

Hey Fellow Crafters!! It has been a couple of weeks since I have posted anything, so today I am here to show you the fruit of spending 2 hours in 20 degree weather taking amazing pictures of one of my¬†Forever Friends: Rebecca. This was SUPER worth the time, effort, and laughs!! (Honestly though, anything and everything is worth the time if you laugh!! ūüôā ) We had so much fun and we hope you enjoy this post!!

Also, I have some great news: We are adding some new people to the Zoe & Friends Forever crew, so look out for them in future posts and videos!!

Another piece of great news: I am hoping to upload our very first video on the Zoe & Friends Forever YouTube channel, I am just waiting for a few things and finalizing other things. So, stay tuned for that! The first video is going to be pictures of just about everyone and some information about our group. Long story short: a channel trailer. We hope you enjoy, please comment on YouTube letting us know what you think.

We really enjoyed this challenge but, things got pretty out of hand. So, we don’t have a TON of pictures, but just enough to show you how this works. As we will usually do, we will give you the supplies and directions for this challenge, so that you can try it at home!! Have fun!

Supplies Needed:

  • Pom-Poms
  • A Plastic Spoon
  • A Ribbon (optional:for line to mark where the pom-poms have to go.)

Directions:

  1. Place your ribbon, if you are using one, wherever you want the pom-poms to land.

img_0964

2. Then, set your timer for 1 minute, and use the spoon to catapult your pom-poms past the line!! Liliya and I did 10, but that was way to easy, we got all 10 past the line in 20 seconds. Depending on your age range, you can make people catapult more or less.

Here are my siblings, goofing off and trying to catapult their pom-poms!!

We hope you enjoyed this challenge!! Happy early Valentines/Friendship Day. I am really looking forward to Valentines Day, I love spending it with my family!! What do you do on Valentines Day? Make sure you check out our Behind the Crafts page to see behind the scene pictures!! Until next time:
